About the Role

As a Senior Architect at Landmark you will help create and evolve the architecture and design of Landmark’s platform and applications. The Platform Delivery Manager owns the team and its delivery commitments; you own the architecture along with other platform and domain architects. You will participate in Landmark’s architecture community, partner with other architects to ensure that all teams understand the architecture and best practices, and take part in reviews to ensure adoption.

Responsibilities

• Jointly define and maintain the architectures for Landmark’s platform and applications, including architecture diagrams, documentation, and architectural decision records.
• Work with architects in domain application teams to explain the proper use of the platform.
• Review application architectures to verify correct usage of the platform.
• Participate in Landmark’s architecture community and contribute to reviews and best‑practice adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience developing web and cloud applications.
• Demonstrated track record of defining architectures and implementing performant, resilient, and scalable solutions.
• Strong written communication skills for producing precise architectural specifications, decision records, and interface contracts.
• Ability to influence technical peers across teams through architectural reasoning.
• Hands‑on full‑stack experience implementing solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
• Relational and unstructured database development and data modeling experience.
• Experience building front ends with React or Angular.
• Knowledge of compute paradigms – microservices/K8S, lambdas/functions, distributed and GPU computing.
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies.
• Preferred: Experience with both AWS and Azure native services.
• Preferred: Background in oil & gas.
