Senior Architect - Industrial
About the role
Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) is seeking an experienced Architect with a strong background in industrial facility design to join our growing Architecture team in Baltimore, MD. This position will lead and contribute to the design of a wide range of industrial projects including water/wastewater treatment plants, maintenance and operations facilities, laboratories, and other utility and infrastructure-related buildings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support architectural design on industrial projects from concept through construction.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to develop integrated design solutions to meet the technical requirements of industrial facilities.
- Prepare architectural drawings, specifications, cost estimates and construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform site visits and construction administration tasks.
- Cookordinate with internal disciplines and subconsultants to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to project team development.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and presentations.
Requirements
- Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture)
- Active architectural license
- 16+ years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on industrial or infrastructure-related projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction practices and detailing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with sustainable design and LEED principles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary team settings.

Pay
The expected annual compensation range for this position is $115,000.00 - $165,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
