About the role
The State of California's Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) seeks a Senior Architect (Field) to oversee construction compliance for healthcare facility projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform field observations to ensure construction activities comply with approved plans and specifications, and building codes.
- Oversee construction compliance phase of healthcare facility projects.
- Conduct field reviews of construction documents and submittals to verify conformance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Maintain current certification with the appropriate licensing board.
Requirements
This position requires a statement of qualifications (SOQ) as part of the application process. The SOQ must be no more than two pages and address the following:
- Experience as an Architect on hospital or healthcare construction projects.
- Knowledge and preparation to fulfill the duties of this position.

To qualify, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications as outlined in the classification specification. These include relevant experience, education, and certifications.
