Senior Architect

Lead technical direction across products and customer programs—reference architectures, integration strategy, and pragmatic roadmaps that engineering can execute. Key responsibilities Define and communicate target architectures for web applications, APIs, data platforms, and cloud deployments.Lead discovery with customers and internal teams; translate constraints into phased technical plans and risk registers.Guide technology choices (build vs. buy), non-functional requirements, and security-by-design patterns.Mentor senior engineers; raise the bar on diagrams, RFCs, and operational readiness checklists.Partner with techno consulting and product leadership on estimates, staffing models, and technical sales support. Qualifications 5+ years in software architecture, principal engineering, or technical leadership roles on enterprise systems.Breadth across backend services, data stores, cloud infrastructure, and integration patterns (REST, events, batch).Proven experience presenting to engineering and executive audiences; strong written communication.Track record delivering in regulated or high-trust environments with clear accountability for outcomes.Comfort operating as a player-coach—reviewing code and designs while staying strategic. Nice to have Experience with compliance-heavy domains (health, food safety, financial services).Hands-on familiarity with Django/Python ecosystems and modern observability stacks.TOGAF, AWS/Azure certifications, or equivalent—not required but valued if paired with practical delivery.
