Senior Architect
Architects work closely with the entire design team to help plan, design, and make owner's spaces special for on-time and in-budget new commercial spaces and buildings. Responsibilities
- Consult with and provide guidance to project stakeholders and staff regarding design and construction requirements
- Network and promote Bobbitt Design and Construction teams
- Develop constructible, efficient, code-compliant designs through programming, schematic, and design development stages for internal pricing and client review
- Create clear and accurate construction documents for submittal
- Review and collaborate on construction documents with internal teams and external subcontractors for best practices
- Maintain project files and document job evolution as required by scope
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of construction practices
- Collaborate with Bobbitt Group team experts
- Monitor project progress via online Project Management system and on-site meetings to ensure design specifications, safety, and standards are met
- Investigate and respond to field questions from consultants and construction personnel
- Assist with project close-out as necessary
- Coordinate staff members regarding project planning and design
- Coordinate with external mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, site, and specialty consultants
- Consult and coordinate with construction personnel during construction
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Design Quality & Delivery: Constructible, efficient, code-compliant designs delivered through all stages; clear, accurate construction documents; design specifications, safety, and standards upheld
- Collaboration & Coordination: Effective coordination with internal teams, external subcontractors, and consultants; staff coordination for project planning and design
- Client & Field Support: Field questions resolved promptly; client vision translated into efficient, cost-effective projects; active networking and promotion of Bobbitt teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture (NAAB Accredited Program required)
- Understanding of design principles, practices, and tools
- Proficient in Revit and 3D visualization
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Ability to be both creative and analytical
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed architect or approaching completion of AXP
Work Format
This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings, best suited to a traditional work schedule. Occasional remote work is acceptable.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel (10-15%) to meetings and events within a 150-mile radius of the office
- Occasional travel to job site locations for photography or milestone events
Physical Requirements
- Ability to access and navigate all areas of construction sites in all types of weather
- Ability to sit in extended meetings
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Valid Driver's License
