Senior Applied Scientist, Annapurna ML
About the role
The Annapurna ML team is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to join a cutting-edge team focused on advancing artificial intelligence and program analysis. This role involves working with custom-built Machine Learning accelerators like Inferentia and Trainium, which are key components of our deep learning compiler stack. The stack optimizes applications across various domains, including large language and vision models, using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy analyzers for ML compiler stages and compiler Intermediate Representations (IRs)
- Architect and implement business-critical tooling
- Publish research findings and mentor a team of scientists and engineers
- Tackle complex challenges alongside a talented engineering team
- Contribute to leading-edge design and research in compiler technology and deep-learning systems software
Requirements
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong publication record in compilers, programming languages, fuzz testing, or program synthesis
- Experience applying program analyzers and fuzz testing to large codebases
Qualifications
- Technical capability, credibility, and curiosity as a trusted scientist
- Strong experience in machine learning and AI accelerators
Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
- Experience with compilers, program analyzers, and program synthesis engines
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI accelerators

Pay
Base salary range: $167,100.00 - $226,100.00 USD annually
