Senior Applied Research Scientist - GPU Native Numerical Algorithms
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Applied Research Scientist - GPU Native Numerical Algorithms to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Responsibilities
- Invent and reformulate numerical algorithms for the company GPU architectures
- Develop various linear and nonlinear solver approaches
- Investigate reformulation of CPU-oriented numerical methods for GPUs
- Evaluate algorithms on diverse workloads in engineering
- Collaborate with teams to advance research into software capabilities
- Shape the long-term research roadmap for GPU-native methods
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent experience in relevant technical field
- 5+ years of relevant work or research experience
- Expertise in PDE discretization and high-performance computing
- Proficient in C++ and Python; CUDA or GPU code experience required
- Experience in performance analysis on GPU systems

Compensation: $192,000 – $356,500 annually
