Senior Application Engineer

Application EngineerCSG Talent is supporting a leading water treatment technology company in the search for an Application Engineer. This role is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, delivering best-in-class application solutions, and managing the bidding process in collaboration with Regional Sales Managers.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare technical scopes and commercial proposals and deliver complete bid packages for customer reviewReview project/application specifications, equipment requirements, selections, cost estimates, and schedulesRecommend and support Sales on technical application solutions based on customer requirements and challengesSize and select engineered systems and equipment according to specifications and performance requirementsReview customer Terms & Conditions with the legal team to ensure compliance with company policiesCreate detailed cost analysis for custom engineered equipment and systemsGenerate equipment pricing from cost estimates ensuring proper margins and commissionsMaintain compliance with approval levels and sign-off proceduresMaintain and update equipment price lists, including vendor pricing and validitySupport regulatory and technical issues related to sales or service projectsCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations on project plans and specificationsPrepare handover documentation for awarded projects to Project Management, Engineering, and OperationsAttend technical customer meetings during the tendering processQualificationsStrong technical and commercial communication skills with management, sales, legal, vendors, and customer engineersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeFamiliar with SalesforceStrong organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively within a diverse team environmentSelf-motivated and proactiveEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in EngineeringMinimum 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)CertificationsEIT or PE is a plus
