Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and treasury-related activities, including invoice processing, payment approvals, vendor payments, and cash disbursements.
- Execute daily payment operations, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and electronic payment transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Cook up with project teams, procurement, vendors, and accounting personnel to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and account inquiries.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, banking information, payment documentation, and supporting audit trails.
- Aid with daily cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, and treasury reporting activities.
- Support weekly cash forecasting and cash flow analysis by providing AP payment requirements and upcoming funding needs.
- Review payment batches for accuracy, proper approvals, coding, and compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.
- Partner with the Controller, Treasury, and Accounting teams to improve payment processes, enhance controls, and streamline workflows.
- Monitor outstanding invoices, aging reports, vendor balances, and payment commitments to support working capital optimization.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations, accrual support, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and assist with treasury administration activities.
- Support implementation and improvement of AP automation, treasury systems, and ERP functionality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, construction contract requirements, and financial governance standards.
- Provide support during audits by preparing payment records, reconciliations, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, treasury operations, cash management, or corporate accounting.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor payments, banking transactions, and financial controls.
- Experience managing high-volume invoice processing and payment activities in a construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environment preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality when handling company funds.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across accounting, operations, procurement, and project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting treasury functions, cash forecasting, or banking operations.
- Experience with construction accounting, subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and project-based invoicing.
- Knowledge of ACH, wire transfers, payment controls, and fraud prevention practices.
- Experience improving AP processes through automation and workflow optimization.
