Senior Analyst, Value Realization & Analytics
About the role
Nutrien is a leading provider of crop inputs and services, guided by the purpose of Feeding the Future. The Sr. Analyst, Value Realization & Analytics supports Network Optimization and Digital Supply Chain (DSC) through end-to-end value realization governance and enterprise analytics delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the Value Realization (VR) operating rhythm for Network Optimization and DSC, including intake, definition, prioritization, and tracking of VR opportunities through to outcomes and leadership reporting
- Lead VR measurement design by defining baselines, calculation logic, and governance required to quantify cumulative value captured versus baseline performance
- Own and maintain a structured VR pipeline (tracker + reporting) and ensure VR items can be referenced by stakeholders across different statuses
- Partner with functional leads and program teams to align and finalize VR formulas/metrics, ensure readiness for development handoff, and drive validation of calculations prior to broad distribution of results
- Deliver executive-ready VR updates and reporting narratives that clearly communicate "what value was delivered, how it was delivered, what is at risk, and what actions are required"
- Own enterprise analytics and reporting delivery for Network Optimization, ensuring consistent KPI definitions, repeatable reporting methods, and clear decision support
- Develop, enhance, and sustain Power BI dashboards and reporting products that support operational and leadership decision-making, including continuous improvement and enhancements driven through backlog prioritization
- Drive automation of VR and reporting refresh processes to reduce manual intervention, partnering with technical delivery teams to convert manual refreshes into stable automated pipelines wherever feasible
- Lead reporting governance for accuracy and auditability: maintain metric definitions, document assumptions, manage exception handling, and implement validation checks to ensure reporting integrity
- Implement and manage an agile analytics delivery model, including sprint planning, sprint reporting, backlog grooming, and stakeholder point allocation to align capacity to business priorities
- Own sprint reporting communications and ensure transparency of completed work, in-flight items, and backlog priorities, including exception reporting as required for leadership visibility
- Support transition and adoption of work management tooling (e.g., Jira) and ensure the team operates with standardized workflows, definitions of done, and repeatable reporting of progress
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder management: elicit requirements, translate business needs into measurable KPIs and reporting capabilities, manage expectations, and communicate trade-offs
- Provide advanced analytical support for time-sensitive leadership deliverables (e.g., board memo support / ad-hoc analysis requests) where prioritization and rapid turnaround are critical
- Own reporting ecosystem dependencies that impact dashboards and data products (e.g., changes to upstream systems or APIs), including assessing impact, coordinating updates, and restoring reporting continuity
- Enable stakeholder adoption of analytics and VR outputs by developing probing/feedback mechanisms, capturing examples of decisions made using reporting, and feeding learnings back into product enhancements
- Lead data quality and exception identification within VR and analytics reporting (e.g., anomalies, missing data, non-reporting assets) and coordinate resolution approaches with functional and technical partners
- Contribute to role design and resourcing decisions by maintaining a clear definition of responsibilities, capabilities, and scope required for the evolved role (reflecting expanded scope added over time)
Requirements
University degree or equivalent experience in Analytics, Business, Supply Chain, Data/Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
6-8 years progressive experience in analytics/reporting roles with demonstrated ownership of business outcomes and increasing scope
Experience leading value realization (baseline setting, KPI definition, benefits tracking, governance) and communicating results to leadership audiences
Experience operating in an agile delivery environment (sprints, backlog management, sprint reporting, prioritization with stakeholders)

- Value realization reporting design and communication, including translating complex calculation logic and outcomes into leadership-ready narratives
- Backlog management and sprint leadership (prioritization, sprint reporting, exception reporting, delivery transparency)
- Cross-functional requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and expectation setting in a fast-moving operational environment
- Automation mindset for reporting processes, reducing manual refresh effort by partnering with technical teams on enhancements and pipeline stability
Skills
