About the role
The Sr. Analyst, NA Transportation Optimization plays a crucial role in advancing BD's mission of transforming dreams into possibilities. They are responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and leading continuous improvement and cost-saving projects within the North American Transportation department.
Responsibilities
- Enhance operational efficiency and implement projects using lean methodologies.
- Deploy lean methodologies and apply metrics to improve performance areas like supply cost driver analysis.
- Design, implement, and lead programs to improve performance areas such as supply cost driver analysis.
- Define risk management and business continuity strategies in partnership with OSC Analytics.
- Ensure regulatory and business compliance of Cost-to-Win projects by collaborating with applicable groups.
- Align with all local, state, federal, and BD safety and quality regulations, with all business policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with NA SC external vendor partners to facilitate joint continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and/or maintain metrics to track project effectiveness in meeting optimization and cost savings initiatives.
- Manage a three-year project portfolio for (CTW/CTD) and Transportation Optimization activities for the NA SC.
- Design E2E NA SC Customer-centric metrics, working closely with analytics for dashboard development.
- Drive the deployment of Lean, CI, Project Management, and ensure alignment with BD Excellence methodologies across the business and distribution centers.
- Ensure improvements are sustained through coaching and leadership.
- Support site optimization programs by coordinating with Unit Quality as necessary on Cost-to-Win projects.
- Act as a facilitator for cross-site activities, business-sponsored Cost-to-Win projects, and deployment of End-to-End Optimization standard methodologies.
- Keep current with technology developments impacting company supply chains; develop business cases for implementation and ensure NA SC is trained.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of supply chain experience required.
- Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- CSCP certification preferred.
- Travel - Up to 25%.

- Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred qualifications: Master's degree, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma Green Belt certification, CSCP certification.
