Senior Analyst Strategic Sourcing - IT

About the Role

Responsible for the data capture, analysis, and reporting of data information to assist the Trinity Health leadership team in achieving operational efficiency. This role involves auditing department information, producing reports, and suggesting process improvements. Provides expertise in programs, services, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Research, collect, and analyze information to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead through resolution.
• Collaborate on performance improvement activities to enhance program efficiency and patient experience.
• Distribute analytical reports and utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials.
• Incorporate knowledge of Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes to ensure quality, confidentiality, and safety.
• Synthesize and analyze data, providing detailed summaries, graphical presentations, and practical recommendations for leadership decision-making.
• Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts.
• Lead small initiatives to achieve cost reductions while maintaining or improving product quality and vendor service levels.
• Manage competitive sourcing processes, contract negotiations, and drafting of contracts, amendments, RFP/RFQ information for low to low-medium risk/value projects.
• Partner with the Supply Chain Informatics System (SCIS) team to ensure proper audit and reporting outcomes.
• Coordinate and maintain system compliance by optimizing Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and Trinity’s contract portfolio.
• Work closely with the legal department and sourcing managers to draft and analyze communications, including contract amendments and business agreements.
• Handle or assist in contract compliance issues based on complexity.
• Support competitive bidding processes, pre-qualify suppliers, create RFP/RFI documents, and analyze responses.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses, develop reports, and present findings to determine favorable quotes or negotiate optimal terms.
• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Engage suppliers ethically and legally in selection processes while maintaining business relationships.
• Plan, manage, and oversee the lifecycle of small to medium sourcing projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Draft and execute contract amendments as required by contract terms or leadership direction.
• Review, redline, and draft contract language, working closely with legal for contract issues.
• Complete contract lifecycle management, including system contract requests, tier reporting, SIPs, and eLoc.
• Conduct category assessments, including spend analysis, demand forecasting, and supply market intelligence.
• Analyze markets to determine vendor sources and product availability, supporting the development of fact bases for major purchasing categories.
• Support sourcing and contract management systems, including auditing database information and suggesting process improvements.
• Work with other Supply Chain verticals to optimize Trinity Health-Supplier relationships.
• Ensure effective handoff of executed contracts to business owners and stakeholders, including accurate PO placement and implementation expectations.
• Serve as a contact for management-team members regarding purchasing/sourcing issues and provide guidance on contract-related inquiries.
• Contribute to process improvements that provide cost savings, increased efficiencies, and enhanced customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, data science, or related field, with at least 5 years of sourcing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of advanced data analytics, procurement practices, and tools such as advanced Excel, Access, and Tableau.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely.
• Comprehensive knowledge of methods for accessing and using information, preparing specifications, and analyzing bids and contracts.
• Working knowledge of contract construction, including the ability to review, redline, and draft contract language.
• Ability to identify problems, make recommendations, and implement solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and present findings accurately.
• Solid customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a shared leadership environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience.
• High proficiency in data visualization, statistical analysis, and business intelligence tools.
