  • Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC):
    • HARMONi: Phase 3 study evaluating ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy vs. placebo plus chemotherapy in EGFR-mutated, locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC (previously treated with a 3rd generation EGFR TKI).
    • HARMONi-3: Phase 3 study evaluating ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy vs. pembrolizumab combined with chemotherapy in first-line metastatic NSCLC.
    • HARMONi-7: Phase 3 study evaluating ivonescimab monotherapy vs. pembrolizumab monotherapy in first-line metastatic NSCLC.
  • Colorectal Cancer (CRC):
    • HARMONi-GI3: Phase 3 study evaluating ivonescimab in combination with chemotherapy vs. bevacizumab plus chemotherapy.

Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy not currently approved by any regulatory authority outside of China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Summit is headquartered in Miami, Florida, with additional offices in California, New Jersey, the UK, and Ireland.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, the Senior Analyst (R&D Accounting & Finance) ensures accurate financial operations and compliance across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sr. Manager, Finance with the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, focusing on continuous process improvement and reducing close timelines.
  • Prepare and review high-visibility CRO entries, Investigator Grant entries, and other R&D entries, including those related to Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials.
  • Own and review the accounting and financial tracking for clinical trial accruals across multiple Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and audit compliance.
  • Lead the site payments process with third-party vendor clinical sites by reviewing and validating invoices against Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), working with Clinical Operations and Study Start-Up (SSU) teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Clinical Operations and SSU to support strategic business objectives and ensure financial accuracy across Phase 2 and Phase 3 studies.
  • Maintain and monitor SOX controls related to operational accounting, ensuring timely completion and proactively identifying and escalating control deficiencies.
  • Assist with audit preparation by gathering documents, preparing schedules (PBCs), and responding to audit requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • CPA or progress toward designation (preferred).
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry, with prior exposure to clinical study accruals (strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, SOX controls, and month-end close procedures.
  • Proficiency in handling large-scale financial data using Excel and financial systems for accurate analysis and reporting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced finance function.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tight deadlines effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships and challenge information constructively.
  • Enthusiastic team player with an approachable manner and a can-do attitude to deliver team outputs within required deadlines.

Pay

$117,000 - $130,000 USD. Actual compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package may also include bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other variable compensation.
