About the team

The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of materials and stock supplies to maximize inventory control and company sales. The team organizes deliveries to meet deadlines and customer expectations, supervises the flow of materials and products from suppliers, and tracks their movement throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the returnable packaging flow, collaborating with part suppliers, transportation partners, service providers, and plant-level materials teams to drive continuous improvement activities using lean principles.
  • Lead project management for new packaging designs and lean projects, including business case development, piloting solutions, and final implementation.
  • Serve as the business lead for PC Portal Support and Whirlpack Solution, building, maintaining, and supporting system functionality and enhancements.
  • Provide task and project support for 14 plants as the leader of the NAR Materials SAP/System core team.
  • Oversee P&L responsibility for a multi-million-dollar budget supporting returnable packaging purchases, maintenance, and related projects.
  • Lead and support network-wide projects to enforce NAR packaging standards, drive continuous improvement, and foster best practice sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Packaging Engineering or Industrial Engineering).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain concepts, including parts flow.
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • P&L responsibility is a plus.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management and industry standards for packaging.

Skills

  • Understanding of lean concepts and basic change management methodology.
  • Strong logic and problem-solving skills to develop plans, meet targets, and prioritize proactively.
  • Ability to lead productive conversations with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Google Tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drawings).
