What We Are Looking For

  • Responsible for the preparation of permits, tariffs, applications and compliance filings with regulatory agencies for interstate and midstream entities.
  • Affiliated agencies include the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC), Canadian Energy Regulator (CER), Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), Mexico Ministry of Energy (SENER), and Mexico Tax Administration Service (SAT).
  • Specific responsibilities include:
    • Supporting strategic initiatives and major projects at FERC.
    • Preparing and reviewing environmental reports for NEPA compliance.
    • Participating in outreach plans and filing Order 609 notifications.
    • Filing completed applications with FERC.
    • Coordinating with FERC staff and company personnel during various phases of a project.
    • Preparing and coordinating tariff filings and reports for entities offering 311 or Hinshaw service, NGL entities, and entities purchasing/selling natural gas.
    • Providing support to project managers and team members to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
    • Preparing reports to ensure compliance with interstate and midstream pipeline export/import regulations.
    • Maintaining excellent internal controls and working with internal staff to improve consistency and efficiency of internal processes.

What You Will Do

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or similar quantitative discipline.
  • Prior work experience with regulatory work in a natural gas or electric utility industry environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, capable of identifying and resolving complex and sensitive regulatory issues/problems.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Proven communication and presentation skills, oral and written, with the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work with a team to meet regulatory benchmarks/deadlines.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.

What You Need
