Senior Analyst - Environmental Sustainability

About the role
This role is part of the Nestlé Health Science Sustainability team, with a dotted line and strong partnership with the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization. Working as an extension of multiple business functions (Finance, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain), the Sr. Analyst, Sustainability is responsible for enabling accurate, consistent, and strategic sustainability reporting across the organization. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders who own or generate critical sustainability data. A key responsibility is to drive data integrity, alignment, and transparency across disparate data sources to support regulatory reporting, including Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) materials, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements.
The Sr. Analyst will lead the coordination, validation, and interpretation of sustainability data, translating complex inputs into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for required reporting. This role emphasizes data strategy, governance, and business engagement, ensuring sustainability reporting is accurate, audit-ready, and aligned to global standards and long-term climate commitments. As a strategic and analytical partner, this individual will also help identify business questions, risks, and opportunities related to sustainability, while supporting the development of NHSc’s broader sustainability data and reporting strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support creation and management of GHG emissions and glidepath reporting, including data collection, emissions factor tracking, verification of reductions, and scenario planning across Nestlé Health Science.
- Support creation and management of EPR reporting, including data collection and validation across Nestlé Health Science SKUs.
- Support monitoring of compliance, reporting progress to Nestlé global climate targets, and audits.
- Actively engage with, and provide assistance, including educational and competency development, to internal technical teams to drive Nestlé’s Net Zero Roadmap and other climate initiatives.
- Support sustainability leaders on GHG and environmental impact analysis to generate risk-based assessments, insights, and narratives to support climate strategy development.
- Assist Sustainability Sr. Manager in communicating to senior management key trends and performance indicators.
- Support management of Nestlé Health Science’s global sustainability data strategy and ensure alignment across all related systems to support measurement of KPIs while ensuring quality and accuracy of all data.
- Support management of the collection and organization of GHG data from internal and external partners while providing ongoing support to address questions and/or resolve discrepancies.
- Support management of the collection and organization of EPR data from internal and external partners while providing ongoing support to address questions and/or resolve discrepancies.
- Support development, alignment, share-out, and implementation of processes and procedures related to GHG accounting, record-keeping, and related governance.
- Stay up to date on current and emerging policy and regulatory drivers of GHG emissions disclosure, environmental reporting requirements, and management in North America.
- Continuously adapt and learn as new legislation is introduced and/or key priorities change.
- Provide data and software integration guidance from a sustainability perspective to ensure the efficient and effective use of technology across the NHSc technology environment.
- Provide sustainability guidance to advanced analytics teams to ensure an end-to-end viewpoint for functional (sales, supply chain, marketing, etc.) solutions.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of sustainability maps that visualize observed and calculated critical environmental and sustainability parameters in space.
- Responsible for representing the sustainability viewpoint for end-to-end innovation projects to deliver business value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of professional experience with 2+ years in sustainability, carbon accounting, evaluating, and implementing GHG goals, and/or relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and data management abilities.
- Experience with State, Local, or Federal government sustainability or environmental justice programs.
- Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Degree focused on Sustainability Management, Environmental Science, Data Management, or a related subject field is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience analyzing raw ingredient materials and value-chain/Scope 3 GHG emissions, including knowledge of LCA software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food and agriculture value chains is preferred.
- Software management/development experience.

Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is $100,000.00 to $115,000.00. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
