About the role

TechInsights is seeking a Senior Analyst, Compute AI Modeling. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical and analytical expertise to TechInsights’ Compute and AI semiconductor coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Build, refine, and own technical quality of TechInsights' proprietary Compute AI model, synthesizing teardown, reverse-engineering, costing, and market intelligence data
  • Maintain end-to-end market model for SoC processors and AI accelerators, covering market share, forecasts, bottom-up analysis by player/product, Silicon IP, design supply-chain, foundry/wafer demand, AI xPU performance, power demand, and token economics, extending into fabless, foundry, OEM, and hyperscaler segments
  • Apply problem-solving and AI-enabled tools to accelerate modeling of AI silicon, packaging, and system-level cost/performance trends
  • Document and evolve modeling methodology to scale across the Compute/AI practice
  • Research, write, and publish senior-level technical analysis on the model's insights and supply chain implications
  • Partner with other analysts across the Market Intelligence organization, serving as a technical resource and mentor (including for the team's AI Market Intelligence Analyst)
  • Contribute to the team's Innovation & R&D agenda and represent modeling capability in internal forums and cross-functional planning
  • Present model findings to clients and executives, translating complex output into clear narratives for non-technical audiences
  • Support select high-value client engagements as a subject matter expert (routine inquiries/sales support owned by junior coverage)

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in semiconductor market research, technology analysis, or related field, with demonstrated ownership of a product, model, or analytical framework over time
  • Deep technical and analytical expertise in semiconductor markets and data modeling, including proficiency with sophisticated modeling techniques and AI-enabled tools
  • Strong understanding of the semiconductor supply chain, including fabless, foundry, OEM, and hyperscaler segments
  • Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems with creativity, rigor, and independent judgment, using minimal guidance
  • Proven ability to mentor junior analysts and act as a technical go-to resource across teams
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and executive audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Pay

Expected salary range: $118,065 USD to $125,010 USD

Schedule

Full-time, remote positions based in the US

Primarily sedentary work performed in a standard office or remote/home office environment

Extensive use of a computer, including prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and viewing a computer screen

Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal team members and external clients

Occasional travel (~5%) for client and internal meetings
