About the role

The Senior Analyst, Operations protects platform integrity during onboarding by analyzing identity and behavioral data to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud. This role designs and evaluates fraud signals and rules, balances risk reduction with user friction, and identifies emerging identity misuse patterns such as stolen or unverified PII. The analyst partners closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Operations to implement scalable, defensible fraud controls, measure effectiveness through data-driven insights, and continuously adapt prevention strategies to evolving fraud threats—all while prioritizing customer safety and trust.

About the team

The Digital Identity Fraud team applies advanced data analytics to develop and refine fraud-prevention strategies during user onboarding. The team focuses on identifying and prioritizing actionable insights from identity verification and behavioral data to confirm legitimate identities and disrupt fraudulent activities. By detecting and addressing attempts involving stolen, synthetic, or unverified information, the team plays a critical role in maintaining a secure and trustworthy marketplace. Collaboration across functions ensures effective operational processes and continuous improvement, supporting the protection of customers and the integrity of the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve operational issues by analyzing problems and directing them appropriately to internal or external teams.
  • Support strategic initiatives by evaluating processes, determining capacity needs, and executing integration plans to drive growth.
  • Contribute to project management by maintaining schedules, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Analyze business metrics to identify trends, errors, and improvement opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to implement effective business solutions and monitor progress.
  • Promote continuous improvement by applying expertise and best practices to enhance operational accuracy and performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in analyzing business processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Strong skills in business process mapping and evaluation of operational procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and determine appropriate resolution paths.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives through effective project coordination and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency in using metrics and data analysis to track performance and recommend enhancements.
  • Demonstrated capability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and communicate effectively.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Computer Science, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in operations, retail, project management, or related area.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000.00 - $95,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may also include stock.
