About the role
The Senior Analyst prepares business and security valuation reports and conducts these for tax compliance, financial reporting regulations, and strategic/fiduciary duty purposes. The candidate is expected to be well-versed in accounting and finance and to interact with the executive leadership of client companies including Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers via teleconference, phone, and email.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive team member experience and engagement.
- Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders through written and verbal channels.
- Perform highly technical analyses in the valuing of business enterprises and their securities, including:
- Discounted Cash Flow Analysis
- Comparable Merger and Acquisition Transaction Analysis
- Comparable Public Company Multiple Analysis
- Black-Scholes Option Pricing Valuation Analysis
- First-Chicago Valuation Analysis
- Monte Carlo Simulation Analysis
- Cost-to-Recreate Analysis
- Sum-of-the-Parts Analysis
- Liquidity Analysis
- Accretion/Dilution Analysis
- Leveraged Buy-Out Analysis
- Synthetic Put Analysis
- Lattice Analysis
- Determine appropriate discounts for lack of marketability and lack of control for equity securities.
- Perform benchmarking, analysis of financial statements, and economic analysis of companies, markets, and industries.
- Draft and assist in the preparation of memos and reports.
- Research and review country-specific tax and transfer pricing regulations.
Requirements
- Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- At least four years of financial analyst related experience.
- Strong grasp of quantitative disciplines such as math, economics, accounting, or finance.
Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Access and PowerPI is a bonus.
- Knowledge of creating VB macros in MS Excel, MS Word or MS Access is a plus.
- Experience with research databases such as CapitalIQ and other tools is preferred.
