About the Role
This is a hybrid 3/2 (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) position for a Senior Accountant supporting direct-to-consumer (DTC) operations. The role involves participating in and supporting accurate financial close cycles and the development of internal and external financial statements, with potential leadership responsibilities for analysis and reporting of various business cycles.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close cycles, including the preparation of financial statements.
- Assume a lead role in analyzing and reporting on business cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collect and analyze complex financial data to perform reconciliations, prepare accounting ledger entries, and generate reports.
- Conduct financial analysis and develop ad hoc reports and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide assistance and consultation to clients within the supported business area, including interpreting account codes, financial reports, project status updates, and resolving work orders.
- Prepare presentations, statistical reports, schedules, and other operational results for management and external parties.
- Consult with coworkers, clients, and management on technical accounting or system-related matters.
- Apply broad knowledge of accounting and GAAP practices to resolve complex issues creatively.
- Provide work direction and training to other analysts as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred; may be required for some positions.
- Minimum of four years of general financial accounting and reporting experience, with an emphasis on complex accounting issues, processes, and multi-company accounting.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply GAAP.
