About the role

Senior analog/mixed-signal design engineer focusing on automation of high‑performance analog‑to‑digital (ADC) and digital‑to‑analog (DAC) converters. The successful candidate will join the Automation Compiler Team to innovate and invent methodologies that automate and parameterize existing high‑performance transistor‑level IP.

Responsibilities

• Automate and parameterize existing high‑performance transistor‑level IP designs.
• Lead the effort to transform manual designs into reusable, parameterized representations for multiple scenarios.
• Utilize coding skills, preferably Python and/or Skill, to support the compiler team’s automation goals.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed teams, providing clear written and verbal communication.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in automation processes.
• Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high‑performance analog or mixed‑signal IC development in advanced CMOS processes.
• Thorough familiarity with high‑speed, high‑resolution ADC or DAC design techniques.
• Experience designing high‑performance building‑block circuits such as bandgap references, op‑amps, comparators, oscillators, DLLs, PLLs, etc.
• Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of transistor‑level circuit design, including noise and mismatch analysis.
• Experience with analog and digital behavioral modeling and/or synthesis of digital control blocks.
• Proficiency with Cadence schematic capture, Virtuoso, Spectre and/or HSPICE simulation tools.
• Familiarity with designing circuits for electromigration and ESD compliance in submicron CMOS processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
