About the role
This critical role focuses on managing and executing PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) level component testing, ensuring the quality and reliability of innovative products that align with Fortescue’s vision for green energy solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute PCBA test and validation activities, both on products and on rigs
- Develop DV & PV Test plans to validate components and systems.
- Support testing carried out by external test houses.
- Assist the systems team with the preparation of requirements documentation.
- Assist with the build and fault-finding of projects.
- Assist with hazard analysis, risk management and DFMEA for components and systems as required.
- Preparation and presentation of reports for internal and external audiences.
- Support technical and project reviews with the customer, representing Fortescue Zero, as required.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and all other departments.
- Understand and work to Fortescue, Customer, Industry and Legislative standards.
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Experience and proven track record in electrical integration within the automotive or autosport industries.
- Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Work will normally be performed in an office and laboratory environment and around technical equipment including computers and lasers.
- Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and carry up to 15 kg without assistance.
- Able to efficiently use automated office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and printers; able to effectively engage in communications (via phone, computer, or in-person).
- Any required Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and must be properly used in accordance with company requirements.
