Senior Air Quality Professional

About the role

Kleinfelder is seeking an experienced Senior Air Quality Professional to join our team in the South Division. The position is available in Charlotte, North Carolina, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental and engineering technical support for various aspects of air quality compliance programs including: preparation of emission inventories, permit application development, regulatory review, compliance recordkeeping, and greenhouse gas reporting
• Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
• Multi-media environmental compliance support to industrial, transportation, energy and other clients, to include: stormwater permitting, SPCC plan development, waste management support, compliance auditing, and industrial hygiene support
• Site assessment and groundwater remediation support
• Have a working knowledge of Federal and various State air quality regulations
• Preferred: Air Dispersion modeling, Major source and Title V permitting, Mining sector air compliance, Project and/or Client management, Professional Engineering, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager or other professional certification

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, or related field
• 10+ years of related experience
• Proficient with air emissions software such as E&P Tanks and GRI GlyCalc
• Demonstrated expertise with environmental regulatory requirements in the southeastern United States
• Project and/or Client management experience preferred

Professional Requirements

• Professional Engineering, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager or other professional certification
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
• Strong experience with writing and communicating technical material
