Senior AI Software Developer - 176490

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Senior AI Software Developer to join our government customer located in Eagan, MN. The Senior AI Software Developer will design and implement software solutions independently while working closely with systems engineering, product delivery, and DevSecOps teams. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home. Responsibilities of the Senior AI Software Developer include: Lead Agile sprint planning ensuring alignment of team priorities, clear deliverables, and successful execution of project objectivesMentor and guide team members by providing technical leadership, sharing best practices, removing roadblocks, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on continuous improvementDesign, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using modern software engineering best practicesCollaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers in an Agile/SAFe environmentParticipate in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectivesCollaborate with systems engineering and program teams to translate requirements into working software solutionsDevelop clean, maintainable, and testable code following CI/CD and DevSecOps practicesContribute to system design discussions and technical decision-makingIntegrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIsImplement modern automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing Core Qualifications for the Senior AI Software Developer include: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experienceHands-on experience building and supporting microservices-based systemsProficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, or similar on a Linux-based system)Experience or exposure to AI/ML-enabled systems (Claude-Code), automation, or intelligent platforms.Experience working in Agile environmentsUnderstanding of APIs and distributed system conceptsAbility to obtain and maintain a Public TrustSuccessful completion of background investigations as required by the government customer Compensation for the Senior AI Software Developer include: $150,000-$180,000 **depending on experience**Full Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc. Keywords: AI developer, software developer, AI software developer, hybrid, product delivery, systems engineering, DevSecOps, technical decision-making, Scaled Agile Framework, Computer Science, Engineering, automation frameworks, automation, Agile environments, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, automated test suites, CI/CD pipelines This job opens for applications on 10/14/26.
