Senior AI Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Services

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Responsibilities

• Architect, scale, and secure the Kong AI Gateway infrastructure
• Lead root-cause analysis for gateway incidents and enhance monitoring
• Design solutions across the platform integrating CI/CD and GitOps tools
• Evaluate and implement AI developer tools, managing adoption efforts
• Set technical direction and mentor engineers on infrastructure architecture
• Collaborate with security and DevEx teams to refine platform capabilities
• Manage self-hosted model serving infrastructure and related workloads

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production-ready platform or DevOps engineering experience
• Hands-on knowledge of API gateways like Kong or similar
• Proficient in Kubernetes and GitOps, preferably ArgoCD
• Solid background in CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Experience with artifact management systems such as Artifactory
• Familiar with infrastructure as code using Terraform and cloud platforms like AWS
• Knowledge of self-hosted LLM inference deployment and GPU infrastructure

Pay

$132,000 – $182,000 annually
