About the role
Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Senior AI/ML Scientist to lead the development of advanced machine learning models supporting clinical decision-making in neuroimaging applications. The role involves leading AI/ML initiatives from problem definition to clinical integration, collaborating with clinical experts and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Translate clinical workflows into AI/ML problem definitions, data strategies, and model requirements
- Design and implement advanced deep learning architectures and algorithms
- Drive validation strategies, including statistical evaluation and clinical relevance of models
- Manage and prioritize multiple AI/ML initiatives
- Contribute to intellectual property, publications, and external collaborations
- Propose and drive new AI/ML-based initiatives aligned with product and research strategy
- Mentor junior team members and influence technical direction
- Stay at the forefront of AI/ML research and apply state-of-the-art techniques
Requirements
- PhD (preferred) or MS with strong experience in Computer Science, AI, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in AI/ML, including deep learning
- Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Proven track record of delivering AI/ML models in real-world applications
- Experience working with complex datasets (ideally medical imaging or healthcare)
- Strong ability to lead problem-solving efforts and communicate complex ideas clearly
- Experience contributing to publications, patents, or research collaborations
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: PhD (preferred) or MS with strong experience in Computer Science, AI, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5–10+ years of experience in AI/ML, including deep learning
- Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Proven track record of delivering AI/ML models in real-world applications
- Experience working with complex datasets (ideally medical imaging or healthcare)
- Strong ability to lead problem-solving efforts and communicate complex ideas clearly
- Experience contributing to publications, patents, or research collaborations

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $185,340 - $254,848. Factors affecting starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
