Senior AI Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior AI Engineer (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a consumer-facing environment.

Location

Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$100,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to create secure and scalable machine learning solutions
• Document and uphold quality and change control standards for AI systems
• Write custom scripts to automate infrastructure and ensure resilient production testing
• Create dashboards and monitoring alerts for proactive issue management
• Participate in learning activities to stay updated on software design and machine learning
• Field questions and provide support for production software
• Monitor service level objectives and production performance for all systems

Qualifications

• 6+ years in AI, Machine Learning Engineering, or Software Engineering with solid Python skills
• Proven track record in building and deploying production-grade AI solutions, especially using LLMs and multi-agent systems
• Deep understanding of AI/ML foundations, including transformers and embeddings
• Experience developing orchestration layers and integrating AI with enterprise systems
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures and MLOps best practices
• Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines and ensuring deployment reliability
• Strong problem-solving skills for optimizing AI systems for performance and cost efficiency
