Senior AI Engineer/Databricks Architect

About the role

The Senior AI Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI applications and agent-centric workflows at scale within the insurance domain. This role demands strong software engineering fundamentals, deep knowledge of machine learning, and experience in working with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AI solutions using Databricks and other relevant technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and developers to develop and optimize AI models
• Develop and maintain efficient pipelines for data processing and model training
• Ensure high availability and performance of AI systems through continuous monitoring and optimization
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for AI deployment within the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and machine learning
• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and containerization technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality AI solutions
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB

Skills

• Proficiency in Python and Scala
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Understanding of natural language processing (NLP)
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
