Senior AI Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a major U.S. airline, is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join their technical engineering organization. This engineer will build production-grade AI agents that integrate with enterprise applications supporting multiple customer journeys on their main website. Looking for someone with deep, hands-on LangGraph and LangChain experience, not just LLM API exposure, plus strong Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot for integration work.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents using LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks
• Build multi-agent workflows, tool integrations, and RAG solutions
• Develop AI services and APIs using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Integrate AI agents with Java Spring Boot microservices through REST APIs and event-driven architectures
• Design prompts, tool-calling workflows, memory, and agent orchestration
• Build reliable, scalable, and production-ready AI applications

Required Skills & Experience (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years software development experience
• 2+ years hands-on agentic AI development, building AI agents using LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Good working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, tool calling, agent orchestration, and LLM workflows
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven design
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications
• Working knowledge of RAG and vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector, Weaviate, ChromaDB, FAISS, or similar)
• Docker, Kubernetes, Git

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

• MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI tool integration experience
• Agent evaluation, tracing, and observability experience
• Track record building production AI applications at scale
• Airline or travel industry experience

Contract Details

Contract length: 6 months. Hybrid onsite, Tuesday through Thursday, in Fort Worth, TX.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $38.00 and $55.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
