About the Role

OUTFRONT is hiring a Senior AI Automation Engineer to eliminate inefficiencies caused by email chains, spreadsheets, and tribal knowledge. You’ll work across Finance, Real Estate, HR, Sales Ops, Legal, and Marketing to identify slow or broken workflows and deploy automations and AI agents to fix them. This role emphasizes speed, ownership, and tool selection—knowing when to use Microsoft’s Power Platform (Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) for M365-native workflows versus AWS (Bedrock, AgentCore, Lambda, Step Functions) for autonomous agents or system data.

You’ll also contribute to OUTGPT, our internal AI platform built on the Vercel AI SDK and AWS Bedrock, by adding features, integrations, and agents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Embedded automation delivery: Collaborate with business teams to identify high-impact manual processes, design and deploy automations, and measure time saved.
• Agent building: Develop AI agents in Copilot Studio for M365-native use cases (e.g., document summarization, intelligent routing, natural-language querying of SharePoint/Teams) and in Bedrock for autonomous workflows or system data access.
• OUTGPT contributions: Build agents, integrations, and capabilities into our internal AI platform to enhance its utility for business teams.
• Integration work: Establish connections for automations, including REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, Snowflake queries, Salesforce reads, and Power Platform connectors. Build custom connectors when necessary.
• Tool selection: Evaluate and document the right tool for each problem, including when not to build.
• Mentorship: Pair with a junior AI Automation Engineer and an intern to elevate their skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software with a track record of delivering end-to-end solutions for real users. Full-stack background preferred.
• Experience shipping multiple LLM-backed systems to production (prototypes don’t count).
• Practical AWS experience, particularly in serverless and AI services (Lambda, Step Functions, Bedrock), with comfort in IAM, RDS, and deploying AI workloads safely.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) or a strong Microsoft 365 development background with a clear ramp into Power Platform.
• Strong API integration skills (REST, webhooks, OAuth, JSON) and familiarity with failure modes in connecting disparate systems.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/Node, or both, and comfort with SQL.
• Ability to collaborate with non-technical business partners, distill fuzzy problems into concrete plans, and deliver solutions in two-week cycles. Communication and judgment are as critical as technical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a portfolio of delivered solutions that demonstrates equivalent expertise.

Nice to Have

• Experience in advertising technology, particularly out-of-home (OOH) or digital out-of-home (DOOH).
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Sigma, or modern analytics stacks.
• Experience with the Vercel AI SDK or Next.js.
• Familiarity with MCP, A2A, or other agent frameworks.
• Experience with Salesforce development or integration.

Reporting and Team

Reports to the VP of AI. Works alongside the Lead AI Platform Engineer, a Solutions Engineer, and an intern.

Pay

For New York, New Jersey, and California, the salary range for this role is $150,000–$185,000 per year. Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and market benchmarks for the scope and responsibilities of the position.
