Position Summary

We are seeking an AI Agent Engineer to join the OCMO (Office of the Chief Marketing Officer) team at F5. This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying AI agents and automation solutions that improve operational workflows across the business.

Core responsibilities

  • Building agents and apps, integrating advanced AI models, designing prompts, automations, and workflows to drive productivity gains and operational excellence.
  • Collaborating with OCMO business stakeholders to turn operational needs into practical AI solutions, ensuring those solutions are safe, reliable, and fit within the overall company AI architecture standards.
  • Influencing across the company to ensure tools are designed and secured appropriately and approved for deployment.
  • Developing, deploying, documenting, and maintaining AI agents, apps, and automation solutions that improve operational workflows.
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of the latest developments in LLM capabilities, implementation patterns, and AI product development stacks.
  • Building long-term relationships with internal OCMO customers and proactively identifying new opportunities for AI deployment throughout the lifecycle of an engagement.
  • Collaborating with Digital (IT) to ensure solutions align with enterprise governance, security, and architecture standards and/or influence the further refinement of the governance, security, and architecture standards as necessary.
  • Building and deploying tailored solutions leveraging agentic AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and other leading enterprise AI platforms.
  • Operationalizing automation (AI and non-AI enabled) solutions across business functions including Services, Customer Success, Sales, and Operations.
  • Measuring solution adoption, performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improving agent interactions and automation workflows.
  • Supporting rapid pilot development and execution sprints to validate use cases and demonstrate value.
  • Internal evangelization, training, and support of the solutions you build, and any other AI technologies that would bring value to the organization.
  • Documenting best practices and helping scale successful AI solutions across teams.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to iterate on solutions and drive adoption through enablement and feedback loops.
  • Absisting with Security and privacy reviews as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a customer facing role, or as a software engineer with consulting experience.
  • Production experience with LLMs including advanced prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python, with additional experience in one or more languages such as TypeScript or Java preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying reliable production applications.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity present in complex organizations.
  • High cooperation mindset for cross-organizational collaboration, balancing competing priorities with integrity.
  • Passion for advancing safe, beneficial AI systems through creative technical applications.
  • Strong communication skills to conduct discovery with OCMO customers and to convey technical concepts to diverse cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining a low ego and collaborative approach.
  • Hands-on experience working with AI frameworks and platforms such as LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, CrewAI, AutoGen, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google AI Studio, or similar AI environments.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic coding platforms, such as Google Antigravity, Claude Code, or OpenAI Codex with experience in developing Skills and integrating Tools.
  • Familiarity with common Sales and Marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Marketo, Adobe suite, Tableau, ServiceNow, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into AI-enabled (and when appropriate non-AI-enabled) automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI prompt design principles.
  • Problem-solving mindset and user-centric development approach, with an innate ability to translate user requirements into AI-based solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to develop effective partnerships across the company to engage, align, and gain stakeholder buy-in.

Pay

The annual base pay for this position is: $192,000.00 - $288,000.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
