Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, plus 15+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Client relationship skills — proven ability to build and maintain strong, positive client relationships
- Financial analysis capability — able to gather financial and business information and perform analyses to support credit decisions
- Agricultural lending knowledge — broad understanding of agricultural lending techniques and practices, familiarity with NBC’s loan policies and credit culture, as well as familiarity with NBC’s products and services
- Interpersonal and influencing strength — able to establish credibility and effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Business development drive — motivated to grow a network of referral sources and generate new business opportunities
- Technical proficiency — strong computer skills and experience with business software
- Regulatory compliance — adherence to all bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations
Responsibilities
- Blends strategic portfolio oversight with hands-on credit administration
- Works closely with business clients to structure credit, assess financial strength, and deliver tailored lending solutions
- All decisions must align with bank policy, regulatory expectations, and sound risk management principles
- Expands the bank’s presence by cultivating new relationships, strengthening existing ones, and identifying opportunities to cross-sell products that support clients’ broader financial needs
- Contributes to committee work, operational planning, and community engagement
Benefits
- Full-time annualized starting salary range for this position is $154,000 to $231,000, contingent on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law
- This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation
