Senior Agentic AI Software Engineer

NVIDIA AI · Santa Clara, CA · 1 wk ago
HybridInformation TechnologyFull-time

Today, NVIDIA is tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing—an era in which GPUs act as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Demand for inference is growing rapidly, and coding and research agents are becoming major drivers of token usage. New agentic patterns, including reasoning models, parallel subagents, and long-horizon tool use, are increasing the complexity and scale of inference workloads. We aim to deeply understand these evolving workload profiles to build the best hardware in the world, while also engineering our own agentic AI systems to keep NVIDIA ahead of the curve.

Responsibilities

  • Build agentic systems in coding and research domains internally
  • Architect systems that analyze inference workload dynamics of leading agentic harnesses under realistic conditions
  • Collaborate with teams that lead evaluation systems for software and hardware to improve evaluation quality

Requirements

  • Strong experience with building AI agents
  • Familiarity with evaluating the performance of AI agents
  • Experience using coding agents like Codex and Claude
  • MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience), with 5 years of relevant software development experience
  • Recent experience in AI inferencing or agents (huge plus)

Skills

  • 2+ years of experience building modern agentic systems or AI-backed systems (preferred)
  • Open source projects showcasing agentic AI applications you have built
  • Rigorous analytical approach to analyzing and collecting data

Pay

Base salary range: $152,000–$241,500 USD (Level 3) or $184,000–$287,500 USD (Level 4), determined by location, experience, and comparable roles. Eligible for equity and benefits.
