About the Role
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Aerospace Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customers on a variety of challenging modeling, simulation, and system analysis projects that contribute to the US intelligence community and weapons system development.
Responsibilities
Analyze and model all aspects of missile weapon systems, including:
- Flight dynamics
- Traditional and advanced navigation and communications systems
- Onboard sensors
- Command, Control, Communications, and Computer (C4) systems
- Radar sensor systems
- Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensors
Typical tasks include:
- System analysis and model definition
- Algorithm development and characterization
- Coding and implementing models
- Using simulations to conduct studies and report results
- Developing and maintaining digital and hardware-in-the-loop simulation architectures
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM field and 8+ years of professional experience, OR
- Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience, OR
- Ph.D. and 2+ years of experience
Required Skills:
- Experience with 6-DoF simulation architectures, including their use in Monte Carlo and parametric simulation study design and analysis
- Proficiency in C++, Python, Simulink, or a similar programming language
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with a highly technical team, including classified customers
Desired Skills
- Experience with OMEGA, ITASE, Sonic, or TMAP models
- Experience with software development in a DevSecOps environment, including configuration control systems such as Git
Pay
Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
