About the role
As a Senior Advisor Consultant, Edward Jones, you will serve the Edward Jones broker/dealer community across a specified region. This role is critical in aligning strategic priorities to make Edward Jones Financial Advisors successful, enhance client outcomes, and grow mutually beneficial partnerships. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the designated hiring location for their assigned region.

Responsibilities
- Grow Franklin Templeton assets under care (AUC) by supporting Edward Jones Financial Advisors in gathering net new assets and retaining existing assets.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Edward Jones structure, mission, goals, culture, compliance, and rules of engagement.
- Anticipate and address the investment needs of clients.
- Understand and immerse self into the Edward Jones culture to drive goals-based advice, financial planning, and serve high-net-worth clients across the firm.
- Advise clients on how Franklin Templeton’s “value beyond investments” can be incorporated into their practice to help serve their clients more completely.
- Educate clients on Franklin Templeton’s investment capabilities and how, when packaged with other top solutions, they can grow their business and meet their clients’ financial goals.
- Demonstrate how Franklin Templeton’s products complement the client’s business needs, including for sophisticated clients with complex requirements such as tailored portfolio construction services and custom solutions.
- Enhance Franklin Templeton’s position in the market as an industry expert by driving innovative sales ideas, approaches, and techniques.
- Educate peers and represent Franklin Templeton at events and activities.
- Develop a sales approach responsive to changing market conditions and evolving client needs by providing value-added advice and positioning.
- Use industry and competitive data to achieve sales goals.
- Integrate effective prospecting, contact, and follow-up strategies for new and existing clients; identify targeted sales opportunities.
- Manage expenses against the annual territory travel and entertainment (T&E) budget.
- Maximize Franklin Templeton resources to build brand awareness, socialize capabilities, and achieve sales targets.
- Apply expert knowledge of Franklin Templeton investment philosophies, processes, strategies, and products to increase market share within the territory.
- Support Edward Jones financial advisors on their journey through FA segments: Start, Grow, Optimize, Maxime, and eventual Transition.
Client Relationships
- Maximize internal networks and external centers of influence to deepen and enhance relationships with clients through investment advice, communication, and expert knowledge of Franklin Templeton products, services, and the market/industry.
- Tailor best practice ideas, education, and consultation on appropriate solutions to strengthen and expand client relationships.
- Advise and position Franklin Templeton products while respectfully applying knowledge of competitor products to meet client needs.
- Draw upon Franklin Templeton’s portfolio managers’ perspectives and product details to recommend appropriate solutions that meet client needs and increase market share.
Leadership
- Lead and direct sales efforts with internal partners to achieve sales targets.
- Maintain and grow partnerships and teamwork with internal resources through collaboration and mentoring.
Requirements
- Typically has 5-7 years of related sales experience.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
- Relocation to the designated territory is required.
- Excellent presentation skills.
Pay
The expected salary for this position is $125,000. Compensation decisions consider factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Franklin Templeton applies a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration.
