Responsibilities

  • Install new software, troubleshoot, grant permissions to applications, and train users
  • Provide day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual hardware and network-related interfaces on servers both local and in the cloud
  • Perform, maintain, troubleshoot, and conduct a complete analysis of alerts
  • Create scripts to automate repetitive processes
  • Work with customers to identify, isolate, and resolve problems with servers that are affecting other services
  • Apply STIG and IAVM processes
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (minimum 8 years); or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced understanding of server-based operating systems like RHEL
  • Subject matter expert (SME) with the ability to mentor others on administrating the server environment both local and in the cloud
  • Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
  • Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting large-scale enterprise server solutions in secure configurations
  • Experience with networking including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
  • Amazon Web Services experience

  • Broad understanding of the interrelationships within the IT environment with focus on server and services
  • Senior-level knowledge of physical and virtual server support
  • Senior-level knowledge of access, permissions, and security that gives clients the access to the data they need
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
  • AWS CloudOPS Engineer - Associate certification
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking certification
  • AWS Certified Security certification

Pay

Target salary range: USD $133,205.00/Yr. - USD $147,775.00/Yr.
