About the role
The Administrative Assistant Senior performs secretarial duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and hospital, clinical, administrative and academic operation of the office. Duties include scheduling, compiling and recording medical charts, reports and correspondence. The Administrative Assistant Senior performs diverse assignments requiring knowledge of departmental and VCUHS objectives and programs.

Experience
- Required: Minimum of three (3) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting
- Required: Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring
- Preferred: Four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting
- Preferred: Previous experience in a health care setting
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Associate Degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited program
Independent Action
Performs assigned administrative/secretarial functions with minimal supervision and guidance.

Pay
Compensation Range: $18.39 – $28.51. Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
