Senior Administrative Analyst

About the role

The successful candidate will conduct project research and develop reports and background papers for Committee approval on priority issues and areas identified in CDD's State Plan. Duties include gathering information from various sources, sharing research documents, and collaborating with Program Planners and other CDD staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct project research and develop reports and background papers for Committee approval on priority issues and areas identified in CDD's State Plan.
  • Gather information from published materials, databases, and experts concerning issues relevant to the Committee and CDD Council.
  • Distribute research documents in a timely and responsive manner.
  • Collaborate with Program Planners and other CDD staff in the RFP review and selection process.
  • Complete related activities in a timely and professional manner to reflect quality and understanding of the programmatic content.
  • Support the facilitation of initiatives and activities of internal and external workgroups and committees.
  • Establish working relationships with staff in other programs, units, divisions, and/or agencies in an actively positive and professional manner.
  • Represent the CDD at meetings consistent with Agency expectations by preparing for, contributing to the meetings, and reporting back.
  • Communicate effectively, respectfully, professionally, and when appropriate, follow up with confirming documentation.
  • Ensure written documents, work assignments, and communications are accurate, thorough, factual, error-free, and professional and disseminated within established timeframes to meet objectives.
  • Inform supervisor on the status of work products and any emergent issues.
  • Coordinate data and when appropriate, include input from others and/or supervisors to inform decisions.
  • Perform duties in support of the programmatic and administrative functioning of the CDD, which could include maintenance of the website/public-facing resources, maintenance of internal document-sharing, development and distribution of meeting materials, and other requested work related to the efficient running of the CDD, its committees, and the Full Council.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • OPEN COMPETITIVE: Administrative Analyst Trainee 1, NS (equivalent to SG-14): Four years of experience conducting management and organizational studies to review and revise procedures for new or changing programs, review organizational performance, and develop internal controls; collecting data and conducting cost benefit or systems analysis to assist with organizational change; evaluating and developing recommendations to improve program operations and effectiveness; and designing and updating procedure manuals, forms, and policy.
  • Administrative Analyst Trainee 2, NS (equivalent to SG-16): Five years of experience conducting management and organizational studies to review and revise procedures for new or changing programs, review organizational performance, and develop internal controls; collecting data and conducting cost benefit or systems analysis to assist with organizational change; evaluating and developing recommendations to improve program operations and effectiveness; and designing and updating procedure manuals, forms, and policy.
  • Senior Administrative Analyst, SG-18: Six years of experience conducting management and organizational studies to review and revise procedures for new or changing programs, review organizational performance, and develop internal controls; collecting data and conducting cost benefit or systems analysis to assist with organizational change; evaluating and developing recommendations to improve program operations and effectiveness; and designing and updating procedure manuals, forms, and policy.

Substitution: An associate degree may substitute for two years of experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of experience; a master’s degree may substitute for five years of experience; and a doctorate may substitute for six years of experience.

Qualifications

Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List or the Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) Eligible List for this title. Transfers cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades. Salary range listed below encompasses the hiring rate of an Administrative Analyst Trainee 1 through the job rate of a Senior Administrative Analyst.

  • Administrative Analyst Trainee 1: $53,764*
  • Administrative Analyst Trainee 2: $59,994*
  • Senior Administrative Analyst: $66,951* - $85,138*

Schedule

Possible work schedules: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
