Senior Acoustician
About the role
We are looking for a Project Principal General who can lead and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle. You will be responsible for any project assignment regardless of size, visibility, number of disciplines, technical complexity or number of staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
- Ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
- Track project financial aspects and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
- Supervise project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- 20 years related experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
- 10 years experience with FTA and related U.S. noise and vibration assessment methods
- Proficiency with current environmental noise guidance documents for acoustical analyses (FHWA, FTA, FRA, STB, etc)
- Be a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization, resolve problems of greater scope and complexity, lead and manage acoustical and vibration assessments
- Develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs
- Focus on tasks including rail noise and vibration, environmental noise, roadway noise and construction-related analyses
- Use state-of-the-art instruments to measure noise and vibrations and to process and analyze that data is required
Preferred Qualifications
- 20 years related experience

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 15 years related experience
- 7 years project management experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
- Able to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
