Senior Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains accounting processes related to journal entries, the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue reconciliations.
• Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations; balances books; prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements; and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures.
• Supports internal and external financial audits, weekly miscellaneous check deposits, monthly tax ACH payments, and accounts payable activities.
• Performs special projects requiring complex financial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent field, plus a minimum of four years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree.
• Knowledge of accounting practices, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
• Financial analysis, account reconciliation, and financial-report preparation experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent field, plus a minimum of two years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience with Oracle preferred.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Teams.
