About This Position The Senior Accounting Analyst plays a central role in the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of financial reporting across Dream Resorts and its family of brands. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position prepares, analyzes, and delivers timely financial information for the Company and its Clients, drawing on a strong understanding of accounting to interpret the numbers correctly and to strengthen the workflows, systems, and controls that make that reporting faster, cleaner, and more reliable over time. The work spans routine reporting cycles such as month-end close, variance analysis, and reconciliations, as well as forward-looking projects such as building advanced financial models and designing the data validation protocols that keep our reporting sound as the business grows. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working deep in the numbers, takes pride in getting the details right, and sees opportunities to strengthen how the Finance team works. The ideal candidate pairs a solid understanding of accounting with strong technical and analytical skills and a process-improvement mindset, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Requirements: Key Responsibilities Conduct variance analysis by scrutinizing the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statement to identify, explain, and correct variances, applying accounting knowledge to interpret the results accuratelyExtract and analyze large data sets across various platforms, with a focus on synthesizing complex financial informationEstablish strict data validation protocols to eliminate analytical reporting errors and improve data integrityFacilitate process improvement and continuously refine financial processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracySupport other Finance team members and functions as assigned, including participating in the preparation of month-end journal entries, financial statements, reports, and reconciliations Skills & Competencies Solid understanding of accounting principles and the month-end close cycle — journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations — sufficient to analyze and interpret financial data accuratelyExpert in working with financial and numerical data and in Excel, including vlookups, pivot tables, and financial modelingAdvanced proficiency across a variety of technology applications and the ability to quickly learn new systems; experience implementing new software is highly valuedExcellent judgment, problem solving, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracyStrong planning, organizing, project management, and communication skillsAble to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure in a deadline-driven environmentDemonstrated ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities Relationships & Reporting Reports directly to the Director of Finance Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field5-7 years of relevant experience, with 1-2 years in a senior roleSolid understanding of accounting principles, with the ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial statements and general ledger detailStrong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis capabilitiesProven experience using a variety of financial and accounting software and analytical tools Preferred Trust accounting experienceExperience implementing new financial or accounting software and tools Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $100,000-$110,000Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (100% employer-paid options for employees and dependents)401(k) with up to 5% company matchEmployer paid Life/AD&DGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Sick Leave9 paid Holidays Dream Resorts conducts pre-employment background checks and drug screening, as well as participates in E-Verify.
