Job Duties
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger transactions.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze general ledger activity and financial results to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting.
- Utilize SAP to record, review, research, and reconcile accounting transactions.
- Absorb accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and other accounting functions as needed.
- Prepare account analyses and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting.
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Help implement standardized procedures and documentation to improve accuracy and consistency.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and requested documentation.
- Aid in system enhancements, process automation, and other accounting projects.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable GAAP requirements.
- Take ownership of accounting processes and proactively identify ways to make the function more efficient and scalable.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within a growing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with financial statement analysis and budgeting.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proven track record of success in a similar role.
