Senior Accountant | Remote

Remote role offering flexible hours (10–40 hrs/week) at $85 per hour.

About the role

Evaluate AI-generated accounting tasks for accuracy and support, confirm task completion, identify unsupported work, and provide clear rationales that influence the development of AI systems in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-agent attempts at realistic accounting tasks and judge their accuracy and support.
• Confirm work is completed and recorded, ensuring entries are booked and deliverables filed.
• Identify fabricated or overstated work, ensuring all figures and procedures are supported.
• Evaluate completeness and method application, requiring verification before finalization.
• Write clear, specific agree/disagree rationales on each attempt.

Requirements

• Strong relevant experience in external audit, controllership, technical accounting, FP&A, or tax.
• Current or recent hands-on work under US GAAP.
• Reflexive professional judgment to spot unsupported numbers or misapplied standards.
• CPA certification or active pursuit, with Big 4, firm, or industry experience.
• Comfortable working with accounting software and reading financial statements and supporting schedules.
