Senior Accountant - Public Company

Responsibilities

• Aid with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support financial reporting and analysis activities
• Maintain balance sheet integrity and investigate account variances
• Absorb and prepare internal and external reporting packages
• Collaborate with various accounting and finance teams on special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Support audit requests and compliance-related activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Public accounting experience preferred but not required
• Staff Accountant candidates should have 1+ year of progressive accounting experience and a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Senior Accountant candidates should have 4+ years of experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus
