Senior Accountant, Kindle Content Accounting
We’re part of the Kindle Content Accounting team that supports many of Amazon’s Digital Content businesses, including eBooks and Kindle Unlimited. This role is for a self-starter who will support new product launches, expansion efforts, and various aspects of our monthly accounting and reporting process.

Responsibilities
- Support various aspects of our accounting and reporting processes.
- End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
- Understand accounting and financial principles and how to apply them.
- Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
- Execute judgment to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month.
- Escalate risks and issues as necessary to leadership.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.
- Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
- Analyze complex processes and systems data.
Requirements
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Fortune 500 operational accounting experience.
- CPA certification.
- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients.
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.

Pay
- USA, CA, Culver City: $72,600.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually.
- USA, MA, Boston: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually.
- USA, OR, Portland: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually.
- USA, TN, Nashville: $60,200.00 - $105,400.00 USD annually.
- USA, TX, Austin: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually.
- USA, VA, Arlington: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually.
- USA, WA, Seattle: $82,700.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually.
Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
