Senior Accountant — Growth Track

About the role

A growing global organization in the Miami area is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant for a high-impact role within its accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned areas of the month-end close process
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, GL roll-forwards, and variance analysis
• Support inventory accounting, inventory valuation, reserves, reconciliations, and controls
• Review gross profit, margin trends, inventory activity, pricing, and operational variances
• Partner with internal accounting, finance, and operations teams
• Support U.S. GAAP, internal controls, audit requests, and accounting documentation
• Identify ways to improve reporting, workflows, ERP usage, and manual processes
• Help coach, mentor, or support junior accounting team members as needed

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
• Background as a Senior Accountant, Cost Accountant, Inventory Accountant, Senior Accounting Analyst, or Accounting Supervisor
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
• Direct inventory accounting experience required
• Strong month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting experience
• Experience with inventory valuation, reserves, reconciliations, controls, or cost accounting
• Gross profit analysis, margin analysis, or variance analysis experience preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles
• ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis
• Process improvement, automation, or systems enhancement experience preferred
• Experience in a large, complex, high-volume, or multinational environment preferred
• Prior mentoring, coaching, review, or team support experience preferred

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting preferred
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Experience with other ERP systems preferred
• Experience with financial modeling preferred
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting preferred
