Responsibilities

• Initial setup of new internal reinsurance agreements
• Monthly administration of new reinsurance agreements
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of reinsurance journal entries per monthly activity
• Perform quarterly reinsurance variance analysis and true-up as needed
• Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process as required
• Provide supporting documentation for internal/external and regulatory audits
• Communicate effectively with auditors at appropriate levels to resolve issues and findings and prepare responses
• Prepare 401k employee benefit plan financial statements
• Support various Corporate Accounting activities, as requested, and accounting-related projects, as assigned
• Perform ad hoc projects, reporting, and consulting with segment finance teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of public accounting busy seasons
• Ability to comprehend and apply generally accepted accounting principles, and research and analyze accounting-related issues
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships across the organization
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, vlookups), Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Big 4 experience
• Healthcare experience
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials
• Ability to understand and implement reinsurance accounting

Pay

The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
