Responsibilities
- Initial setup of new internal reinsurance agreements
- Monthly administration of new reinsurance agreements
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of reinsurance journal entries per monthly activity
- Perform quarterly reinsurance variance analysis and true-up as needed
- Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process as required
- Provide supporting documentation for internal/external and regulatory audits
- Communicate effectively with auditors at appropriate levels to resolve issues and findings and prepare responses
- Prepare 401k employee benefit plan financial statements
- Support various Corporate Accounting activities, as requested, and accounting-related projects, as assigned
- Perform ad hoc projects, reporting, and consulting with segment finance teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of public accounting busy seasons
- Ability to comprehend and apply generally accepted accounting principles, and research and analyze accounting-related issues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships across the organization
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, vlookups), Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 experience
- Healthcare experience
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials
- Ability to understand and implement reinsurance accounting

Pay
The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
