Responsibilities
- Lead the accounts payable process, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment execution
- Own the month-end close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
- Support preparation of financial statements for internal and external reporting
- Cook up coordination with auditors and external partners for annual reviews and periodic bank audits
- Prepare and oversee weekly operational and financial reporting (sales, inventory, and operations performance)
- Sustain the annual budget and ongoing forecasting process
- Manage sales tax reporting and remittance
- Partner cross-functionally to explain financial results and business impact
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Mentor and support development of junior accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of MS Office
