What You'll Do
Core Accounting & Month-End Close
- Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliver accurate, timely financial results.
- Perform key reconciliations and conduct rigorous actual-vs.-actual flux analyses with high attention to detail.
- Support lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed asset accounting.
Compliance, Audit & Reporting
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure strict compliance with SOX requirements.
- Coordinate external audit requests and support the preparation of SEC filings and external reporting deadlines.
- Support international compliance efforts, including statutory reporting, local GAAP requirements, and coordination with global advisors.
- Monitor international tax obligations, assist with transfer pricing documentation, and manage cross-border intercompany transactions.
Process Optimization & Systems
- Participate in system testing and support ERP and financial system implementations (NetSuite).
- Proactively identify process bottlenecks, design automated workflows, and drive projects to scale our accounting operations.
- Support ad hoc initiatives across inventory management, budgeting, financial metrics, and technical accounting research.
Who You Are
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience (a mix of public accounting and industry experience is highly preferred).
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent. CPA is a strong plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; experience with ASC 842 is a plus.
- Systems Savvy: Proficient with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a major plus); advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. System implementation experience is a plus.

Pay & Schedule
- Salary: $120,000 - $140,000/annually + Equity
- Location: Manhattan, NY - 3 days a week onsite
