Senior Accountant

Tech24 is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the corporate accounting team in Greenville, South Carolina. This role is a key contributor to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and reconciliations, while also serving as a technical resource and mentor to staff level accountants. This position offers a clear path for growth; a high performing Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to advance into an Accounting Manager role as the team continues to build depth and bench strength.

Growth Opportunity

This role is intended for a high potential accounting professional. Within one to two years, a successful Senior Accountant will be positioned to advance into an Accounting Manager role as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
• Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support external audit requests, including preparation of schedules and documentation, and serve as a point of contact for auditors on assigned areas.
• Review and mentor staff accountant work product, providing technical guidance and feedback.
• Identify and drive process improvements to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the close and reporting cycle.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls across assigned accounting functions.
• Research and document technical accounting positions as new transactions or standards arise.
• Assist with special projects and analysis as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior public accounting experience, including audit, is strongly preferred.
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Experience with ERP and accounting systems preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross functionally and present financial information clearly.
• A professional, team oriented approach with a track record of contributing positively to team culture.

Pay

$85,000–$110,000
